Apsara Cafe on Kendal Street in Cowra serves as a straightforward spot for those looking for a casual bite or a quick coffee break. It’s the kind of place you might pull in to during a road trip or while running errands around town, especially if you’re after simple, no-fuss food paired with friendly service.

The vibe is practical rather than polished, with customers often opting for takeaway or a short sit-down. The menu leans toward classic café fare with a mix of sandwiches and Asian-style entrees like spring rolls and curry puffs, all reasonably priced. Locals appreciate the crumbed fish option, which is noted to stand out from typical takeaway standards, suggesting some attention to quality in their fast food offerings.

Service here tends to be warm and polite, creating a comfortable neighborhood feel. However, the trading hours can be a bit unpredictable, with the café not always open and closed on Sundays, which can be tricky if you’re counting on it as a regular stop. Despite that, it remains a go-to in Cowra for a casual meal or coffee, especially on weekdays.

Visitors looking for a quick feed or a friendly cafe atmosphere will find this spot suits those needs well. It doesn’t have the polished café culture feel but offers a sense of being a small family business trying to serve locals and travelers alike. Mid-morning to early afternoon visits appear to be the best bet to catch the café when it’s open and bustling with regulars.

Quick Fast Food. They use Jem fish, as you crumbed fish option which taste so much better, than most take away food.

Food's good. Well priced. Nice people. Trading is unreliable. They're closed as often as they are open. Family business in Sydney. Don't open Sundays. Should employ people to open Sunday. Not run very well. Could trade its socks off. Be careful they don't slip you some Ninja Turtle coins in your change.. Has happened on at least three occasions.

While on a road trip, stopped in Cowra for a little break. We bought some coffees from this cafe and the server was so polite and friendly. We didn't get any food but the menu had a large variety and the prices were very reasonable.

100% the best food and service in Cowra. If you're ever cruising through its well worth a stop and you can eat in or take away

After leaving the Ruze Cafe disappointed with their rudeness and lack of variety in food, I found this Cowra Gem Apsara Cage a great place where I have good food quick Service and don’t even charge you extra for the card use. Cheers

After looking down the barrel of a $27 burger at the pub across the road I started to walk to KFC and found this gem. $15 for a burger with egg & cheese and chips. It was top shelf, people are lovely and would highly recommend. Will definitely be back when in Cowra. Great people to boot.
